Resources
Resource Filter
Pick one or more materials and Helm shows the way. Every contributing system gets highlighted with its concentration factor, and a sortable results sidebar ranks every planet by factor and jumps to your CX of choice. Useful for scouting base locations without opening 40 PLI buffers.
Navigation
Route Planner
Quickly highlight the shortest path between any two systems, gateway-aware. Jump count included.
Market
CX Distances & Prices
Every system panel shows jump count to all 6 CX's with gateway use flagged. Available resources shown with the most recent ask price at that nearest CX (via FIO).
Detail
Planet & System Data
Detail panels for every system and planet. Resources, environment, fertility, gravity, temperature — plus infrastructure data showing population tiers, happiness and more. Planet panel links directly to PRUNPlanner for base planning.
Search
Search Everything
Type-ahead across systems, planets and CoGC programs — name, natural ID, substring, whatever. Searching for a planet drops you straight into its system view with the target highlighted.

Gateway Overlay
Toggle Gateway links on and off — drawn live from FIO, including gateways still under construction.

Empire Overlay

Install the Helm Extension and the community map becomes your map — bases, ships and warehouses overlaid live from your game session, rendered locally in your browser.

Base Markers
Accent rings on every system and planet where you have a base, in galaxy and system view.
Fleet
Live Ship Tracking
Docked ships marked at planets and exchanges. Ships in flight move along their flight paths in real time — flight phase and ETA on hover, gateway jumps riding the drawn arc.
Lens
Empire Lens
Press E to dim the galaxy to your empire and frame it. Persists across visits.
Logistics
Warehouses & CX Codes
A crate marker at every commodity exchange where you hold warehouse space. Ships at or bound for an exchange read as its code — ANT, MOR, BEN — matching the map.

Colorblind Safe

Open the theme picker (cog icon in the toolbar) to switch. Your choice persists across sessions. Colorblind Safe mode uses blue/orange for positive/negative indicators instead of red/green.

Privacy

All map data comes from the public FIO REST API — systems, planets, exchanges and live gateway links — fetched client-side on load. No accounts, no cookies, no third-party trackers. Empire data from the extension never leaves your browser.
